Soulonthetrack is a genre-bending architect of sound—where jazz smoke meets Southern concrete and hip-hop poetry rides live instrumentation. Emerging from a foundation built on storytelling, rhythm, and fearless vulnerability, he’s crafted a catalog that moves like chapters in a larger saga.
His early project The Ascension of Chrystopher Soul introduced a reflective lyricist grounded in growth and self-examination. The Brown Liquor Movement expanded that voice—rich, unfiltered, and rooted in lived experience. With Bastards & Butterflies, he blurred the lines between grit and grace, pairing cinematic production with layered narratives. Now, his latest LP Soul Noir steps fully into the shadows—jazz-infused, introspective, and sonically mature, blending lo-fi textures, live band elements, and Southern soul undertones into a cohesive statement piece.
Influenced by the lyrical depth of Outkast, Cyhi, Wu-Tang Clan, J. Cole, and the jazz-hip-hop fusion of August Greene, Soulonthetrack balances sharp penmanship with soulful vulnerability. On the R&B and soul side, the live instrumentation and emotional resonance of Mint Condition, Boyz II Men, sade, Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, EWF, Bilal, and D’Angelo shape his melodic sensibilities. The result is music that feels both classic and futuristic—polished yet raw.
Having traveled across the United States performing and refining his craft on stages nationwide, Soulonthetrack now sets his sights beyond borders. The vision is global. The sound is intentional. The movement is growing.
This isn’t just music—it’s legacy in motion.
